All exams require a scheduled appointment with the exception of general x-rays. Please call our centralized scheduling office, 703-280-9800, to make an appointment or contact us online. General x-rays are available on a walk-in basis from 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in Sterling, Fairfax, Bethesda, Chevy Chase and on the 9th floor at 2141 K Street in DC

All patients who might be pregnant or who may have allergies to materials that might be used during the examinations should notify us when making the appointment.

Preparing for your exam

Each exam requires a different preparation. Some may simply require food/beverage restrictions. Others may require you to pick up a “prep package” at one of our offices several days prior to your exam. Please review the exam preparations with the WRA scheduler when you make your appointment. Preparation instructions are available online and many are also printed on the reverse side of WRA’s physician order form.

Bring to the exam

Please bring the prescription or request form that was given to you by your doctor. This prescription ensures that we know precisely what type of study should be performed and in some cases indicates information about your history so that we can tailor the exam to your medical needs. You will also need to bring your insurance card, insurance authorization form (if required by your insurance plan), and related films and reports if they were not performed at WRA.
