Lung Screening CT
At Washington Radiology, we use innovative CT techniques to help our patients maintain optimal lung health. Lung screening CT is a far superior screening tool compared to traditional chest X-rays for monitoring lung health in people with a history of smoking and is now the standard of care. It is a noninvasive, painless procedure that uses low-dose X-rays to quickly screen the lungs for cancer, allowing the radiologist to look at different slices of the lungs. By detecting small tumors in an early stage with lung screening CT, patients can be treated with promising survival rates and before cancer spreads to other parts of the body.
Our medical team is led by board-certified radiologists who have specialized training in lung screening CT. We provide a warm, caring environment to help ensure your comfort during the exam.
